Clematis is a shoe brand founded by bespoke shoemaker Keitaro Takano in 2008.
Trained by the legendary shoemaker Nobuyoshi Seki, Keitaro-san honed his craft as a bespoke shoemaker at Kanazawa KOKON where he was responsible for all shoemaking processes, including pattern-making, last-making, upper-making and sole construction. Every pair of shoes is carefully crafted using techniques such as hand-welted or Goodyear-welted construction, emphasizing precision, durability and refined aesthetics. Clematis Ginza produces full bespoke, made-to-order and ready-to-wear shoes, and is highly regarded among enthusiasts for its meticulous craftsmanship and unique last shapes.
